More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I've been full time nanny to a now 9 month old since birth.
I have been babysitting off and on since 2009 and have done a lot of work with my now 8 year old neice. I spend a lot of time doing child care courses, earning certificates to extend my education around children's health and gentle parenting. I have my Pediatric First aid CPR/AED certification as well.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I have a list together of 40 different and fun games that encourage imagination, physical excercise, reading and kindness! One of my favorite games I've learned from kids through the years is creating outdoor obstacle courses and indoor sock/snowball fights. I love letting kids develop a sense of self and pick out their outfits and learn how to cook/clean with me.

The most important part about being a nanny...

For me insuring safety, a sense of self and independence. Those little teaching moments for every day skills and watching kids imagine up some of the most unique things I have ever seen or heard. It's incredible watching kids figure life out.

My experience with special needs children...

I've got a lot of experience dealing with ADHD, OCD anxiety, mild autism and separation anxiety but that is about as far as my experience goes as far as special needs. I am willing to learn and educate myself on any special needs your child may have though

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment as a nanny was watching a young girl age from 2-8 and discovering her sense of humor! She tripped one day playing and shouted "ow! I DROPPED MYSELF!" I died laughing. Kids are fun. It can be hard sometimes as most parents and caretakers will agree, but the reward is immense.
