I started watching my little brother who is diagnosed with downsnydrome at the ripe age of 13. I enjoy spending my time with him, in fact i work at his school in his essential elements classroom as a paraprofessional. Ive been working there for over a year now. I enjoy getting the kids out and about. Taking them to the aquarium, zoo, gateway. Going on walks. Enjoy helping them with homework.

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters to me is teaching gen ed kids that i nanny how important it is to be open-minded and kind to everyone you meet in this world, whether if they have a disability, deaf, blind, or just even look different.

I have tons of experience with special needs children from caregiving them at there house to teaching them in school. And ofcourse living with my little brother who has downsnydrome my entire life.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was probably taking the adult I caregive for to the aquarium. He’s pretty introverted, in a wheelchair, and nonverbal. It was the best day ever because i got him off his ipad and got him connected with the animals there. He loved having me read every paragraph that was written on each animal.
