I worked at my church for six years unpaid where I would float around and assist classrooms, mainly the nursery.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love having dance party's, in my time teaching I have found some very educational videos that include alot of movement and participating which always seems to be a great way to wind down, and I love doing fun art activities with the kids because I love to show them how good of a job they can do and show there parent all the cool stuff they make it really makes them feel proud of themselves and it's fun to make cool art projects, lastly I'm very into reading and having circle time and some light singing here and there so that we can all feel included and it's just fun to have those special moments with the kids.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I feel it's to nurture these children no matter how old or or young and make them know that there are people out there that are willing to take that extra step for them and make them feel needed and encouraged to do great things, mom's and dad's have alot on there plate especially when it comes to taking care of multiple children and going to work full time I believe a nanny's job is to help supplement that care so that a child never feels neglected or unheard.
My experience with special needs children...
I have very basic experience with special needs children, i have had two separate special needs children that I look after one who is very high functioning autism and the other who is very low functioning autism, never the less I still belive that even in the time that they have been with me at the liscenced childcare that i work at, i believe they have still developed connections and grown because of it.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have not personally nannyed for anyone yet but I am very eager to give it a shot i have alot of experience and am ready to make awesome memories and, i hope to one day have a favorite nanny moment
