Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Previously worked as an elementary teacher’s and a middle school teacher’s assistant during two separate trimesters as a highschool student while taking an extended volunteer course. Also, currently a certified paraeducator.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Outdoor activities are what I enjoy most with kids. A trip to the park, a short walk around the neighborhood, or even a simple trip into the backyard is valuable time spent in fresh air with limitless opportunities to experience something new or exciting!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is first and foremost ensuring the safety of the children I am watching at all times. However, the other most important factor in being a great nanny I personally believe is understanding the role I play in the child’s life. As the adult responsable for this child for an extended period of time on a regular basis the attachment and bonds created are nothing to be ignored. Realizing the role I play as a caretaker at such vulnerable stages and important times in these young kids life, it is no small feat. The influence I may have is tremendous, so I hold this role with the upmost pride and make efforts to be a positive influence every step of the way.

My experience with special needs children...

I worked for a brief period of time for a small family with a young child with severe physical and mental disabilities. I was grateful for the experience which unfortunately had to be cut short due to the child’s condition declining. I was grateful for the experience and took away many things including that I am open to continue working with children with special needs in the future. My experience is still limited

The most important part about being a nanny...

The majority of all my best memories happen while I’m nannying. Nothing tops the feeling of walking through the door and having the kids run up to me in excitement ready to start our day together. That feeling is unmatched no matter how many times I experience it with any of the kids I watch.
