The most important part about being a nanny...

I was packing to move across country while still watching this sweet young boy that I had cared for for quite some time. He was watching Boss Baby (his favorite) and suddenly asked what I was doing. I explained that I’m moving away so I’m packing the things I plan on taking.
In the most laid back and nonchalant way, this three year old just side eyed me for a second and said, “No, you should just stop packing because you’re my girlfriend now and I’m never leaving your house.”
I made sure to hold back tears until mom came to get him.
Happy ending to the story: I moved back, he’s an old man of 8 years old now but still loves hugs and spending time with me.
