Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have over 11 years of paid‬ experience in childcare, 7 years of paid experience as a full-time,‬ professional nanny, and 2.5 years as a night nanny/nurse specializing in‬ sleep training.‬ I have cared for children and infants ranging from just days old - 13 years old. Most recently, I have been specializing my care for newborns, infants, and toddlers. I have experience with special needs children as well as those with medical needs, given my nursing education. In the medical field, I have experienced caring for children through my pediatric, NICU, and mother/baby rotations. I also work in my newborn church nursery every Sunday and do continuing care for my past families when I can. I have experience with overnights and traveling with families. Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Some of my favorite things to do during my days as a nanny when the‬ babies are more on a schedule are: baking, playing outside at the park,‬ going on walks, enrichment activities (my mom has been a preschool‬ teacher for over 25 years, so I know all the tips and tricks!), going to the‬ “bunny hive”, library, or other infant and kid’s activity classes, reading‬‭ books, swimming, and singing/dancing. I am very adventurous and love the outdoors and exploring local places.

The most important part about being a nanny...

For me, the most important thing is to nurture the child and help them to hit their developmental milestones while creating a fun, loving, and safe environment for them to learn and play in. I feel I have a God-given gift for connecting and bonding with his children and I’m so thankful I get to use it every day. It is also so important for me to connect with the family to create a seamless, communicative network to provide the best care centered around love for the children.

My experience with special needs children...

I have autistic and diabetic cousins I have cared for and was apart of a special needs care program at my school for 6 years. Through that program, I worked closely with children of numerous types of disabilities and worked closely with their families to take them on fun adventures after school. I also have nursing experience with special needs children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When my most recent baby I nannied took his first steps and I was there to catch it! I am so honored to get to nurture him through each milestone and get to witness his biggest one yet!
