A little bit about me

I’ve hosted a pre-k homeschool in my home beginning in 2015 and until November 2022. I took off a few months for a family emergency to spend time to refocus on them. I’ve took in 2 boys at the age of 9mnth until they reached kindergarten age and another baby boy from 2mnths until 3yrs old at the same time. The next few years I’ve taught up to 3 boys a year to present them for kindergarten. This current year I had 2 girls at 3yrs and a boy of 4. I focus on teaching and not simply babysitting. I have reference letters from mothers that can give you a moms perspective of what I do. I can send through email. I’m looking to change my surroundings and explore different avenues for my schedule. I prefer to work part time and not on weekends. I’m 46 and have worked with children for many years in MDO programs and raising my own 3 children now adults.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve worked in a MDO when my children were young. I was a stay at home mom for my 3 kids who are now adults. I have taken care of children for 25years now.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to teach with music. I enjoy doing art work with children teach letters , numbers, and shapes. Outdoors I enjoy going for walks and using sidewalk chalk and kinetic sand for playing. If available I will go to playgrounds for fun.

When I worked with 2 boys from a baby to kindergarten and they tested on a high level to get into a good school. Connor, the boy I took care of, tested and was on a 1st grade level. It was very rewarding.
