A little bit about me

My name is Candace and I have been in the private childcare profession on and off now for 18 plus years. I am also a mother of a wonderful 2 year old. I am originally from CT but have been living in cities such as NYC and Boston for the past 16 years and will be moving back to CT come summer. I have been a mother’s helper, babysitter, camp counselor, pre school aide, and live in and live out full time and part time nanny, and now best of all a mother. I specialize in infants as young as 7 weeks to age 5 years of age. Very comfortable with multiples whether they are of same age or various ages together. Some key skills I have are food transitions, sleep training, developmental milestones, age appropriate structuring, and most importantly the mama bear mindset. I believe communication is key and cherish my developing relationships with the kids and families as a whole.

Communication. Being a parent is rewarding and a blessing, but comes with obstacles that sometimes takes a village to help out with. Having an open line of communication is key and helps aide in the care of children. A parent wants someone who will treat their pride and joy as their own and would love and care for them like they would. It makes the time away from their little loves easier knowing that they have the best care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite part about being a nanny is being a huge part in their beautiful growth. I start with most of these children from infancy so helping them achieve each major milestone makes me feel I’m doing something so good. Also the bonds I form with each child is so precious and the level of love is the best! I also love the bonds I form with the family as a whole. They all become my extended family.
