I have been in the child care/house management field for over 15 years. I have worked in daycares, I have worked in hospitals while attending nursing school, I have worked for families wit hbk one child and families with 7. I have also worked with special needs children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Singing, crafting, swimming, board games, card games, dancing, cooking, reading, going on "adventures" to the park, zoo, library, bowling, or even just on a walk around the neighborhood.

Being fun yet consistent, flexible but having a routine, being a hard worker and a planner, and knowing that you are a part of a family team.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most recent family I was with had a Christmas where mom was scheduled with her employer to be away from home on Christmas Eve and Christmas day. This meant her and her 7 year old son would not wake u pho Christmas morning as the home they were caring for had no Christmas set up at all. On Christmas eve after putting the 7 year old to bed I headed home. But instead of going to my home I went to their's pack up all there Christmas decorations, wrapped all the gifts, and pack all of it ( INCLUDING THE TREE) into my car and brought it back to the house they were hpusesitting for and set it all up there in the middle of the night. I wrote a "note from buddy the elf on the shelf) and put it by the door of the room they were staying in. They woke up the next morning and the mom was crying tears of happiness and the 7 year old screamed "OH MYGOD SANTAS MAGIC BROUGHT CHRISTMAS TO US!!!) It was by far the best moment of my career and one of my all time favorite Christmas memories.
