A little bit about me

I am an experienced childcare provider and educator with over 25 years of experience working with children from infancy through the preteen years. I hold a Master’s degree in Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.

I’m also a parent to two grown sons, so caring for children has always been both a personal and professional passion of mine. I have experience working with children of different personalities, learning styles, and support needs.

My goal is always to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children feel supported, encouraged, and cared for. Safety comes first, but I also believe children thrive when they are active, learning, having fun, and building confidence through everyday experiences.

Some of the activities I enjoy include reading, arts and crafts, outdoor play, imaginative play, learning games, music, sensory activities, and helping younger children build social and early learning skills.

I also enjoy creating calm routines and encouraging children to stay active, curious, and confident.

The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and dependable environment for children. Families should feel comfortable knowing their child is being cared for with patience, attention, and genuine compassion.

I believe children do best when they feel secure, encouraged, and understood.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with children with different learning and behavioral needs, including children on the autism spectrum, ADHD, and children who may need additional emotional or educational support.

I also worked for 10 years as a Therapeutic Staff Support (TSS), providing one-on-one support to children in home, school, and community settings. My approach is always patient, calm, supportive, and focused on helping each child feel safe, understood, and included.

One of my favorite parts about working with children is watching their confidence grow over time. Whether it’s helping a shy child come out of their shell, seeing a child master a new skill, or simply building a strong bond with a family, those everyday moments are the most rewarding to me.
