While nannying in Hawaii, my kid was obsessed with whales, he knew every little fact about humpback whales at just 3 years old. We went out on a boat to go whale watching and one breached right in front of us! He flipped out and got so so excited I basically had to hold him back from jumping out of the boat to go swim with the whale. It was so rewarding to see that big smile on his face.
