More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I am a volunteer for Spokane School District and am a Troop Volunteer for my girls Girl Scout Troop.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Reading (I am a voice actor, as well, and am very good at doing voices), board games, puzzles, LEGO, sensory games, music and signing, gardening, trips to the park, library story time, picnics, community events, and seasonal activities.
My experience with special needs children...
I have helped children with learning differences from ADHD, autism, and dyslexia.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I also do photography, and a family I had worked for at the studio, while I was in college, asked me to watch their son since I was able to make him less nervous about the photo session - he was 2 at the time. So we sat and played a puzzle together before the session began, and he was taking some of the best photos, smiling and yelling "Cheese" whenever I brought the camera up to take a picture. They were impressed and mentioned I worked through a nanny service, so I understood how to make the session less intimidating. They asked if I could watch him a few times a month for date nights. I said yes, and the first time I came over, I realized that yelling "cheese" wasn't just an exclamation during the session. He had decided to call me "cheese" instead of Carmen, and greeted me by yelling, "IT'S CHEESE," when I came through the door. He still calls me Cheese, and it's been several years. Warms my heart.

Full-Time Nanny Available in Spokane, WA: Drew W.
Hi! My name is Drew!
I’m a caring, energetic, and reliable nanny with many years of experience. I’ve nannied for families with multiple kids, run summer camps, and helped with everything from school pickups and playtime to bedtime routines, meal prep, and house keeping.
I’m currently in school pursuing a healthcare career, so I bring a thoughtful, safety-conscious approach to childcare. I think it’s so important to engage kids through creativity, movement, and kindness — whether it’s making crafts, going on adventures outside, or just being a steady, supportive presence. Most importantly, I want to listen and respect all family’s/ kids needs when it comes to being cared for.
I’m CPR/First Aid certified, have reliable transportation, and strong references. I’m looking for a part-time position (my schedule is generally flexible) with a great family in the Spokane area, and I’d love to connect to see if we’re a good fit!
