A little bit about me

Hi My name is Carmory and I’m currently studying Early Childhood Development at Indiana University. I’m passionate about working with children and love creating fun, safe, and nurturing environments for them to grow and thrive. I’m known for my patience, positive attitude, and creativity when it comes to engaging kids in play and learning.

In my free time, you’ll probably find me enjoying time with dogs, surrounded by something pink (my favorite color!), or finding new ways to bring joy to the little ones I care for. I’d love the opportunity to support your family and be a reliable, caring presence in your child’s life!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Private Nanny – The Johnson Family
Bloomington, IN | May 2023 – August 2024

I cared for two children, ages 3 and 6, during the summer and part-time throughout the school year. My responsibilities included planning fun, age-appropriate activities, preparing meals and snacks, organizing arts and crafts projects, helping with preschool learning and early reading skills, and creating a structured but fun daily routine. I also handled light housekeeping related to the kids, such as tidying play areas and doing laundry.

Youth Program Assistant – Boys and Girls Club
Bloomington, IN | September 2022 – May 2023

During my time at the Boys and Girls Club, I worked with children ages 5 to 12 in a group setting, helping to lead activities, assist with homework, and ensure a safe, positive environment for every child. I supported the staff with planning and supervising arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor games, and enrichment programs focused on social and emotional development.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Helping with homework and learning activities. Outdoor play like going to the park, nature walks, or simple sports. Singing songs, dancing, and having fun with music. Creating themed playdays based on kids’ interests

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important part about being a nanny is supporting a child’s growth—not just keeping them safe, but helping them learn, feel confident, and enjoy being themselves. I love helping with homework and learning activities because it’s a chance to make school feel less stressful and more fun. I always try to encourage kids to believe in themselves, ask questions, and enjoy learning at their own pace.

Being part of a child’s routine and watching them grow into their own personality is one of the most rewarding parts of this job. I take that responsibility seriously—and with a lot of heart.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moments is when the kids come to me and show my their improvement with their grades on a test.
