More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have extensive experience working with children in various settings, making me well-suited for a nanny position. As an Elementary Supervisor, I managed groups of children, ensuring their safety and fostering a positive, structured environment. I’ve also worked as a teacher, where I developed creative lesson plans and helped children grow academically while maintaining a nurturing and supportive atmosphere. Additionally, my experience as a babysitter and nanny has provided me with the skills to care for children of all ages, from meal preparation and light housekeeping to managing daily routines and creating engaging activities. My goal is always to provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment that allows children to thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love engaging children in activities that foster creativity, learning, and physical activity. Outdoor play is one of my favorite ways to connect with kids, whether it’s going on nature walks, playing sports, or exploring parks. I believe that fresh air and physical activity are essential for a child's development. I also enjoy interactive play, such as building forts, playing pretend, or organizing scavenger hunts, which encourage imagination and teamwork. Crafts and art projects are another go-to activity, as they allow children to express themselves and develop fine motor skills. Whether it's a fun game, reading a story, or just having a conversation, I aim to create an environment where kids feel excited to learn, play, and explore.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite parts about being a nanny is the opportunity to make a positive impact on a child's life and development. Children are our future, and being a part of their journey, whether through supporting their education, fostering their creativity, or simply offering a safe and loving environment, is incredibly fulfilling. I believe that the early years are crucial in shaping a person’s future, and I take pride in helping to nurture their growth and well-being. This passion for children and their development has inspired me to pursue a career in medicine, with the goal of becoming a family medicine doctor. I want to provide holistic care to families, building relationships that foster health and wellness across all stages of life. My experiences as a nanny have only strengthened my desire to be a compassionate, caring presence in people's lives, both in and out of the medical field.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with children with special needs, which has equipped me with the patience, understanding, and flexibility necessary to support their unique needs. In my role as a teacher and nanny, I’ve worked with children on the autism spectrum, as well as those with ADHD, learning disabilities, and other developmental challenges. I am skilled at adapting activities to match their strengths and provide structure and consistency that fosters a sense of security. My background as a Medical Assistant has further enhanced my ability to care for children with medical needs, including administering medications, managing health concerns, and providing first aid when needed. This experience has allowed me to feel confident in handling various situations, ensuring both their safety and emotional well-being while creating a nurturing and inclusive environment.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a nanny has been watching the first family I worked with witness their children grow, take on new challenges, and develop into young adolescents. I had the privilege of seeing their kids start sports, navigate school, and gradually transition into middle schoolers. It was incredibly rewarding to be part of their journey, supporting them through each milestone and watching their confidence and independence grow. Staying actively involved in their lives, whether attending games or helping with schoolwork, allowed me to foster a deeper connection and contribute to their personal growth. Seeing them thrive and knowing I had a hand in their development has been one of the most fulfilling aspects of my career. It’s a reminder of how meaningful and impactful the nanny-child relationship can be over the years.
