My experience with special needs children...
Growing up, my Uncle who had Down Syndrome lived with us. He was always like a brother to me and as he aged, I helped with caregiving for him.
Every summer during college, I worked at Dreams with Wings summer camp that supports children/teens with Down Syndrome and/or Autism. Hands down one of the best jobs in the world!!
