A little bit about me

I am a mother of 3 kids, (18-14-9). I hold an RN License. CPR certified, and first aid trained and I have actively worked in the hospital setting for 21 years. I had a cancer scare which made me decide I want to do some different things for the last half of my life. I have been caring for children and helping my friend get their cleaning business up and running since my departure from nursing in December of 2018. As of right now I have a fairly flexible schedule. I can cook, clean, help with homework and I love to just interact and play with children. I have my own vehicle and I am dependable. I will take care of your children just like they were my own. Finding childcare can be so stressful or it was for me when I was going through that part of my life. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have cared for children in the hospital setting, in there home, and also my own children. I have some experience with special needs children. I provided childcare for my cousin for many years. He is severely autistic. I worked with him one on one for approximately 5 years. I am currently providing childcare for 3 little Angels on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This family will be moving out of state next month so my availability will be increasing once this happens.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love rocking babies! Probably one of my favorite things to do in the world!! I also like to play games, color, and go to the park with children. I enjoy just chatting with kids. They’re perspectives on things are so great almost comical at times. They are so innocent and honest. It’s such a beautiful thing!!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is providing care just like you would provide for your own children to someone else’s children. To know you are making a difference in another families life. You are reducing stress for Mom and Dad so they can go to their jobs and perform in peace and comfort knowing they’re children are well taken care of. Childcare is more than just making sure the kids are on for 8 hours. It’s anout forming a bond with another family that you will hold dear to your heart just like your own family. It’s so rewarding.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When the baby I was sitting for finally took the bottle from me!! It made me so happy!!! The only person he would take the bottle from was his mommy!! I was ecstatic!! Made my whole day!!
