Volunteered to show kids how to wash their hands and show them how easily they could get bacteria on their hands at a children's fair. I also cared for my smaller cousins throughout all of my high school years and now I have a child of my own.

Help them learn their Basic school work, help them with their homework, play any sports they would like to play and if available, and cooking or baking together if parents allow it only.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Having the kids safe and help them with their needs. Get to know the kids to be on their good side and to also know what they don't like to avoid any problems like allergies for example. Treat them as if they were my own. Make sure they are comfortable with me so that they could be themselves.

A funny moment I had when I was babysitting once was when we were doing a plaster hand mold kit and the child decided to do her foot instead of her hand.
