Throughout my childcare journey, I've had a diverse range of experiences that have shaped my passion for working with kids.
Babysitting allowed me to build a strong foundation. The trust placed in me during overnight babysitting assignments, which sometimes ranged from one night to week-long stays.
Working as a recreational leader at a summer camp provided an opportunity to foster a sense of fun and adventure in kids. It allowed me to organize and supervise various activities, encouraging personal growth, creativity, and a love for the outdoors.
My role as a sports coach not only enabled me to share my love for athletics but also provided opportunities to care for athletes. Traveling to tournaments as a chaperone for 40+ athletes between the ages of 13- 18, nationally and internationally, was an incredible experience. It required a high level of responsibility and the ability to manage a diverse group of young individuals, ensuring their well-being and success.

I absolutely cherish spending time with kids and making sure they have a blast, no matter the activity. Whether it's impromptu dance parties, adventurous outings to the playground or hikes, biking through the neighborhood, engaging in board games, unleashing our creativity with arts and crafts, diving into sports, taking a dip in the pool, or exploring museums, I thrive on creating memorable moments filled with laughter and joy. It's the sheer delight and endless possibilities of fun that make these moments so special to me.

My experience with special needs children...
Growing up, I was fortunate to be exposed to various special needs scenarios, which profoundly influenced my perspective. Volunteering as an assistant for a special needs ice hockey team, I witnessed the power of inclusion and the joy it brings to everyone involved. During high school, I dedicated my time to volunteering in a special needs classroom, where I gained firsthand experience in the unique challenges and triumphs of these incredible individuals. My mom's role as a paraprofessional for the same girl with Down syndrome for 12 years instilled in me a profound sense of compassion and patience. Additionally, while in college, I had the privilege of nannying a 5-year-old with Down syndrome, further solidifying my commitment to providing care and support to children with special needs. These experiences have shaped my understanding, empathy, and unwavering passion for making a positive difference in the lives of those with special needs.
