Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
In my twenties, I worked as a teacher at Children's Discovery Center. In 2015 I volunteered to provide outdoor experiential education to a 5-year-old boy who was expelled for extremely violent behavior. After several months he was able to return to the classroom. At that point, I transitioned to being a volunteer on his classroom. Additionally, I have volunteered to teach tennis to underprivileged children in the community.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Sports! I am a competitive beach volleyball player and also love tennis and softball. I'm up for any games. I love teaching kids about gardening and growing food, being out in nature, swimming, playing on the beach, stargazing, kid's yoga, arts and crafts, cooking and baking, and any outdoor experiential education.

As a nanny, my primary focus is on inspiring and empowering children, cultivating their self-belief, and fostering kindness and compassion towards others. Additionally, I am dedicated to instilling in them a lifelong love for learning, personal growth, and the joy of giving back. Furthermore, I want to emphasize that I am fully open and committed to adhering to any practices or beliefs that the parents have for their child rearing. Serving the family and respecting their wishes is my utmost priority.
My experience with special needs children...
While I haven't had direct experience working with children who have physical special needs, I was a nanny for a 3-year-old boy on the autism spectrum with significant behavior challenges. Additionally, I have worked with the aforementioned 5-year-old boy who exhibited severe violent behavior. As a psychiatric mental health worker, I had the opportunity to occasionally assist in the Adolescent unit. This provided me with valuable experience in supporting teenagers with conditions such as schizophrenia and other affective disorders. Although I haven't had the opportunity yet, I am open and willing to work with children who have physical special needs.
