Hi! My name is Catalina Barahona, and I’m a Chilean 21-year-old psychology student. I like drawing, playing soccer, journaling, spending time with my family, studying English and so much things. I’m looking for a babysitting or house-keeping job, as I have a lot of experience working with children and in household settings.

I’m responsible, caring, and I love spending time with kids. I believe that every child is unique, so I always try to approach each situation with patience and understanding. Being a psychology student helps me a lot in this regard, as I have learned about child development, behavior, and effective communication strategies.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have taken care of children aged 3 to 15, and I have provided private tutoring to children between 10 and 17 years old. I also had a university internship in a school (named Colegio Nacional), where I worked as a tutor and assistant to the teacher in the classroom. During this experience, I was able to understand different realities and build relationships of respect and trust with the students. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to take care of my cousin, who is now 12 years old, since he was a baby, and my brother, who is currently 16 years old. I am eager to provide dynamic, entertaining, and enriching activities as a babysitter, as well as assist with household tasks.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I really enjoy drawing and painting with children. We can watch movies, play games (like creating figures with Play Doh, board games, and more). I can adapt to creating routines and activities according to the ages of the children I care for. I like to learn about and follow the routine established by the parents, to respect and maintain it.
