Hey yall! My name is Cate, I’m 24 years old and the oldest of 6 kids. I’m currently in Tulsa and I live with my boyfriend who has a 2 year old. I’ve always had a love for children & can’t wait to have my own someday but in the meantime I’d love the opportunity to love your children! I’ve practically been a second mom my whole life by being the oldest daughter to 5 younger siblings & oldest cousin to most of my extended family. I just got back from California where I spent my time being a live-in nanny for some family and did some babysitting on the side for some friends. I am CPR & First Aid certified & have dealt with crazy reckless children my whole life so I definitely have those mom instincts to asure the safety & physically as well as mental wellbeing of your children. I am currently looking for work but my love for caring for people young and old has always brought me back to the nanny & babysitter life! More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve taken many babysitting/nanny classes through Red Cross. I’ve been a live-in and temporary nanny/babysitter for the past 12 years since I myself was 12. I’ve done loads of volunteer work for Catholic Charities and other mission trips around the US. I was in California for the past year working for different families where I gained a lot more hands on experience taking kids to and from school, practices and appointments. I am the oldest of 6 so I’ve been caring for my own siblings as well as their friends my whole life!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Outside park and sensory games are my favorite! Connecting with nature helps children connect with their true selves and builds confidence. I love letting their own imaginations flow by giving them space to create and be inspired. I will also take time to get to know your children’s interests so every game and activity suits each child and what they feel the best participating in! Learning new skills and basic life skills like how to cook, clean up after themselves, and take care of their mind soul and bodies. Showing them that it can be fun just like play! All while letting them play and be their true selves when they are around me so they are instilled with the confidence needed to take on the world.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being a role model and someone inspiring to your children. Giving them that safe space to feel seen, heard, loved and cared for as well as being a friend to them.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve cared for children with autism and down syndrome. I also have a close cousin that is wheelchair bound and I’ve helped him in many situations with feeding and changing.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Watching children grow in their true confidence selves! I cherish every sweet moment and love watching their little eyes light up when they feel that confidence in themselves flow. Definitely my favorite moment was when a child I was watching was able to do the skating trick we had been working on for weeks! He was able to overcome fears and excel in his sport with me being there to support and talk him through the process.
