More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been babysitting since I was 8 ! I would babysit my young cousins when my mom and aunt would go out. Now I babysit and watch my sister's baby that is 4 months old ! To me though it doesn't feel like babysitting when I am just having so much fun !

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love going outdoors , whether that is a park, a pool, just playing in the yard, or an actual destination I think that is just so fun! There is a lot of indoor activities that are my favorite as well such as , playing board games, playing with Barbie's/dolls, playing with cars, playing with legos, baking a sweet treat, doing a random craft, or just making a fort while watching a movie! I promise no matter what we do your kids will have fun!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important part is to make the kid happy and to feel comfortable and safe because they're away from their parents and with somebody that they don't know. I also believe that it's really important to make. The parents feel comfortable as well, considering they are leaving their children with somebody. I always try to keep everything the way the parents intended such as cleaning and meal prep and nap time. I think it's very important to follow rules and boundaries that are set. There are many ways you can do that and still keep the children happy and entertained !

My experience with special needs children...

My step brother is autistic. He has the mentality of a 3rd grader but he himself is a lot older. I have known him most of my entire life and I have stayed home with him a million times to watch him. I am able to help him and make him happy - he likes puzzles and roller coasters so we make lots of puzzles and do marble roller coasters. He also loves chocolate ice cream so we go on a lot of drives to get some ice cream and also to just get some air. I know all the things that come along with this such as if we go outside, I have to put a sunscreen on and his shoes on also things like I have to make sure he brushes his teeth and comb his hair. I would say overall I have a lot of experience with this.

The most important part about being a nanny...

my favorite nanny moment would probably have to be either babysitting my sister's four month old or another families two-year-old little girl. For the baby(4 month old) it is my favorite thing when I'm able to make her laugh and you actually hear her little giggle. It is the sweetest thing. For the two-year-olds I took her to the butterfly exhibit in Thanksgiving point and she had the best time with the butterflies flying everywhere and they actually were landing on her. After that, there's so many places to play there so her and I just had a blast!!
