Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I volunteered as a high school student to help children at a wildlife center called Playcard where we helped guide them through the wilderness and educate them on the importance of appreciating the land and the animals that we live on. I also helped my sister on the weekends to provide for my ten year old niece and six year old nephew for years. I helped my neighbor when they had to take a business trip and needed me to take care of their four year old daughter! I have plenty of experience with children!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love playing hide and seek outside, and I like games that help them with their critical thinking skills. For example, DIY games like throwing a pen into a cup from certain distances, doing simple problem solving fun puzzles, a lot of the times I get very creative and depending on what the children’s interest is, is what I base our activities around!
My experience with special needs children...
I have unfortunately not have had the opportunity to take care of a special needs child but I am extremely open to a wonderful experience and am an extremely fast learner. I will be tending to them in a way that is helpful and loving as if their parent had never left. I am very patient with children and under these circumstances, I will do everything I possibly can to give this child an amazing experience!
