Hi! I’m Charleigh. I graduated from Arizona State University’s Downtown Phoenix campus with a degree in Medical Studies. I’m BLS certified for Healthcare Providers and hope to become a physician in the future, but what has always mattered most to me is caring for others and showing up in ways people can rely on.

I’m naturally very positive and people often describe me as bubbly, kind, and warm. I enjoy creating calm, supportive environments, staying organized, and bringing a steady, upbeat energy into the spaces I’m in. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, spending time with my dogs, and volunteering in my community, including time spent supporting the Humane Society.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have over a year of experience nannying a 10-year-old boy with Autism and ADHD. Through this role, I’ve developed strong patience, communication, and adaptability skills while creating a supportive, engaging, and structured environment tailored to his individual needs. Building a close bond with him has been incredibly rewarding, and I’ve loved being a positive and consistent part of his daily life.

One area I’ve especially enjoyed focusing on is helping him develop healthy habits and routines, particularly around sleep hygiene and emotional regulation. I introduced routines such as limiting screen time at least an hour before bed, practicing calming techniques to help his body relax, talking through his day and processing emotions together, and creating a safe, comfortable environment where he feels supported and free to be himself. These experiences have strengthened my passion for working with children and supporting both their emotional and developmental growth.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working closely with a child with Autism and ADHD who struggles significantly with focus and attention span. This has taught me how to think creatively and adapt my approach to keep him engaged in a way that feels fun, supportive, and productive. I’ve learned how to redirect attention calmly, turn everyday tasks into interactive activities, and adjust routines based on his energy and emotional needs. Working with him has strengthened my patience, problem-solving skills, and ability to create an environment where he feels understood, supported, and successful.

I also had the opportunity to shadow a physician, where I worked alongside children with a wide range of developmental and special needs. This experience gave me valuable insight into how every child communicates, learns, and processes the world differently. I observed and assisted in creating supportive, individualized environments that encouraged growth, emotional regulation, and confidence.

I have a deep passion for nurturing children's minds and emotional well-being. I love creating an environment where children feel safe to ask questions, share what's on their mind, and work through challenges — whether academic or social. I see my role as more than supervision; I'm a mentor, a sounding board, and a supportive presence who keeps parents connected and informed every step of the way.
