Hello! My name is Chelsey. I am 31 and have been in childcare for over 15 years. I have experience working as a childcare teacher , a nanny, as well as working with special needs / autistic children acquiring a certification as a behavioral analysis assistant. I have always helpe around the house if needed , as well as cooking for the little ones . I have four of my own and know how special each child truly is and make a point to care for them as my own. I am willing to help with homework for older ones as well as potty training / bottle weening for the small ones. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have cared for children as a babysitter, a nanny, as well as being a daycare teacher/ VPK assistant teacher. I have taken courses to have my certification as a behavioral analysis assistant, allowing me to have experience and knowledge of special needs children. I have four children of my own and know how important each and every child is . I am CPR and first aid certified, and can swim if ever needed . I have experience helping around the house as well as with some chores if needed. I also have experience tutoring children as well as being in online courses to become an elementary school teacher, so helping with homework is also on my can do list. I hope to help your littles grow , learn and most of all HAVE FUN!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy all arts and craft projects with the kids. I also like to find learning kits such as starter plants or caterpillars and watch them grow together ( with the parents approval of course) . I am willing to do any outside activity the children would like, or sit inside and relax and play a game , the days festivities will be up to your little ( with boundaries of course) to keep them as occupied and comfortable as possible !

The most important part about being a nanny...

being sure the children are safe, at times they may want to do things/ have things that they cannot and learning that "no" is not a mean thing but a safety thing is extremely important, but doing so in a kind way to keep the children comfortable and redirected is a very big part of that

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience with autistic , as well as mildly down syndrome children. I also have a bit of experience and am still learning of working with dyslexia as my daughter is mildly dyslexic. I also volunteered in the ESE classes at my high school giving me experience with the more serious disabilities and how to handle them physically and mentally with outbursts or just basic needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when I cared for a family of 5 kids 3 of them being autistic and I was told " of all the people that have came here you have helped them with their self confidence and self soothing, they adore you" . Helping children has always been my goal and they melted my heart!
