A little bit about me

I love working with children and have been working in jobs with children for the last 6 years. I have had jobs from camp counselor, swim lessons instructor, to working with middle schoolers in the school setting. I also cleaned houses throughout all of Highschool and college. I was on the swim team in college and was a Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, and have 3 years of swim lesson teaching experience for ages 6 months to adult. For the last two years I have worked with middle schoolers in a school setting and held tutoring and clubs after school for students.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I volunteered at a preschool over the summers when I was in Highschool. I am a certified Instructional Assistant and have a Youth Mental Health First Aid certification. I am also Red Cross certified in Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR, and AED for the professional rescuer. I have worked as a swim coach/counselor for Texas A&M University swim camp in the summer since 2019. In college I also was a Red Cross LGI (Lifeguard instructor) so I have experience teaching Lifeguarding, CPR, AED, and first aid and certifying people for Red Cross.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I am very comfortable helping children with homework/tutoring or developmentally appropriate activities such as color/shape sorting/recognition, activities for fine motor skill development such as coloring or age appropriate crafts. Either reading to or helping a child with reading. Outdoors I enjoy outdoor games with children, bibles scavenger hunts etc. I have a lot of experience working with kids in the water, either monitoring children in the pool to ensure they are safe in, on, and around the water, or playing games with them that are developmentally appropriate for a child to learn how to safely handle themselves in the water while having fun.
