Hi I am a former H.S. Teacher I have a MEd degree. I have lots of experience with high school & college aged students. During the pandemic, I helped 2 families with their 3 and 4 month old girls.
I worked as a nanny in my twenties and absolutely loved caring for 2 children, who are now wonderful adults! I have been working for a nonprofit company, but I miss the little ones.
I helped 2 families nurture their infants until their pre-school years.
I have raised my 2 children and had the best job ever as a Mom. Also enjoyed helping these families navigate the pandemic and thrive. I can cook & bake, I will launder the kid's clothes and tidy up the place. Love to sing and dance, I'm a creative crafter and also a dog mom. Love animals! Love Kids! Love Parents!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked as a loving and energetic nanny for over 6 years. I have a BA in Psychology and a Masters in Education. I have been a high school teacher for 8 years. I have 2 grown children and grew up in a large family of 7 children. I have babysat for years, more recently cared for a neighbor’s children. I worked for 2 families whose children Were 3-4 months when I met them during the pandemic. Both families were essential workers.
When Covid hit, I asked myself what was my favorite job? It was when I was in my twenties when I worked as a Nanny for a sweet family. Helping families has been a life long focus. I would welcome the chance to talk with you about your family’s hopes and needs.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Playing music, dancing and singing. I like reading to them and having them read to me. I enjoy building forts with blankets engaging their imaginations. I love to play games and make learning fun. I have worked as a professional tutor. I like to make them healthy snacks and meals. I am an excellent baker, so baking with kids is a joy. Educational fun trips to museums, our amazing zoo and parks throughout the city are wonderful. I also enjoy swimming and outdoor play with children and their pets.

The most important part about being a nanny...

In my experience, it is being a part of their growth—mind, body and spirit. It is important to understand the charism of the family. What values they wish to impart and boundaries they set are essential. Parents are a child’s first teacher. As a parent and teacher I hope to be a part of the child and family’s growth.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked as a tutor to children with learning disorders. Various populations include ADD & ADHD, behavior problems, mental health challenges and people on the spectrum. In recent years, I have worked with adults with disabilities, helping them find work that that they enjoy.
I have been an outdoor educator while living in Florida, working with all groups of children including those who have special needs. The program taught about the environment with a special focus on animals living in the botanical garden and injured animals that are a part of the wildlife refuge.
