I have been a public school teacher for the last 5 years working in 1st and 2nd grade. I come from working at Christian Preschool while attending college classes. I have a degree in Elementary Education and am working towards a degree in Early Childhood Education. I am CPR & First Aid certified.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love creating fun, hands-on experiences for children of all ages. Crafts and creative projects are some of my favorite activities, whether that’s painting, building, or exploring sensory play like sand and water. I also enjoy baking in the kitchen with kids, which naturally introduces skills like measuring, fractions, and following directions.
Imaginative play is another big part of how I connect with children—playing with dolls, building stories, and encouraging creativity through pretend play. I also love sharing books and helping children develop a love for reading through storytelling and interactive reading time.
In everyday activities, I like to introduce real-world learning in natural ways. This can include simple math concepts like money, measurement, and fractions while cooking, shopping, or playing games. My goal is to make learning feel fun, engaging, and part of everyday life.
