More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

A preschool teacher/nanny, Sunday school teacher, etc.. I would be more than happy to share my resume, including references. I have not figured out how to put my teaching experience in my profile, as it only asks for nanny experience, and so have mostly worked for schools. I am at a point in my life where I feel being a nanny would be a nice change for me. I started babysitting when I was in 7th grade, and was truly like a member of their family. I am still in touch with this wonderful family! I LOVE children of all ages, and love to have fun, laugh and love and live life to the fullest!! I love to be active, and prefer the outdoors to indoors for anything, yet if it is raining out, have no problem dancing and exercising indoors! My last two jobs were at Child and family Centers of Excellence in where I taught 4k, and most recently, Virginia Academy in Ashburn where I taught the 2 year olds. I was a Health Mitigation Monitor for the LCPS. Played violin and speak French fluently

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I LOVE to be outside as much as possible with children, as I think the fresh air and exercise is so important. I love to have fun indoors and outdoors, and if you are interested, I can get into further detail as to activities, etc..

The most important part about being a nanny...

Loving and teaching children in their own homes!! And most of, my prayer is to be a blessing to the children in my care, and family as a whole.

My experience with special needs children...

I am not specialized in special needs children, however have taught and worked with many children with special needs, both in a classroom setting to having them in my Sunday school class. I grew up with a cousin who is autistic, however gained most of my experience with special needs children having them in my classes. I have such a love for them, and connect with them. I wish I could put it into words, however, I have often been asked to help with a child in another classroom in both schools I worked at. I love reaching them, and they all have been blessings in my life.
