A little bit about me

Hi I'm Christine. A mom of 3. My kids are pre-teens and teens now. I have my degree in Early Childhood Education (birth-3rd grade). I have worked as a nanny for twins, as a preschool teacher, as a developmental specialist for Early Intervention, and most recently once my baby started preschool, I worked (and currently still do) as a substitute in the Wilmington Public Schools (Pre-K-12th grade). I am also a Girl Scout leader with a troop of 18 girls and I am CPR and First Aid certified. With all that said- I love little ones and would love to find a for a part time job working with your little, teaching them milestones and helping out with schedules and routines. I am mostly looking for 2-3 days a week in the 9am-4pm hours to work while my kids are in school. Hi everyone, I’m Christine, a mom of 3 kiddos and 2 dogs! My kids are 15,13,9.. I have an Australian Shepherd puppy, and a 5 year old lab mix. I have my degree in Early Childhood education. I taught preschool for years. I also Nannied for twins, then worked in Early Intervention for 4 years as a developmental specialist before having my son. I am CPR and first aid certified. I currently work part time as a substitute in the kids schools.-pre-k-12th grade. I am also a Girl Scout leader for my daughter’s 3rd grade Brownie Troop with 18+ girls for the last 4 years. Recently I was watching my friend’s child from birth-17months old while their family navigated a difficult time and this got me interested in Nannying again for a part time job. Depends on the age! But I’m happy to do whatever the child shows interest in at whatever age they are- also happy to talk about parents goals for their children and be on the same page.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Helping kids grow and learn and seeing the excitement on their faces as they learn something new or try something for the first time.

My experience with special needs children...

I worked in Early intervention for 4 years as a developmental specialist. I also have a background in ASL and navigated my own children’s needs with Autism, Dyslexia, and ADHD.
