Hi, my name is Ciara and I am very excited to meet you! I am from Bristol, Pennsylvania and also a retired student athlete. As the second to the last child of 5 sisters I’ve realized I have all the energy, love, and patience when it comes to kids and I absolutely love working with them. I have worked with tons of kids while growing up in a household that is very family oriented. I was a basketball trainer for kids for some time that have big dreams to be great one day and just need the right person to take the time to work with them effectively while also understanding at the end of the day they are still kids so that requires having tons of patience, effective communication, productive/organized structure, and last but not least we can’t forget about FUN. When watching kids I love being being active and having fun but I always make it my priority to be sure the kids are getting the proper care, nurture, and learn something educationally as well. I can’t wait to meet your family!

My Experience
~I was a basketball trainer for kids ages 5-17
~Worked for a total of 6 Kids camps while in college all ages.
~I volunteer worked for a track and field program for special ed.
~I watch my 8 year old sister on a daily basis
~I watch my family members kids when needed or asked from time to time.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love being active and I’m very energetic so when watching kids some things I like to do are:
~Take walks
~Play games- (Educationally as well)
~Play any kind of sports they may like as long as it’s safe.
~Swimming
~Dog walks
~Exercises/ Stretches- (Based on age)
~ Read books
~ Drawing/ Coloring
~ Baking
Anything the kids enjoy as long as child appropriate, safe, and not harmful to their or anyone else safety.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is the kids safety and proper care while also allowing the kids to get their energy out and have fun but also being making sure the kids are being productive and learning new things as well. I believe kids need balance between fun and education but safety is always the main goal.

My experience with special needs children...

I have only had one experience of working with special needs as a volunteer but I worked for a program that gave special needs kids a chance to run track and field and get awards for whatever they won. Also, after the event we got a chance to get two kids each and walk with them, talk with them, or play games and just make them feel loved and happy.
