I was a nanny for a summer for 2 little boys: 2 year old and 3 year old. I also nannied for a 1 year old for a year. Beyond nannying, I babysat as needed for family and friends since I was 12.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Indoor: coloring, reading, building blocks, dressing up dolls, playing with their toys, sensory bins, painting, learning hygiene tasks, making music, dancing, singing, exploring different rooms, learning: foods, counting, colors, numbers, and lots of words!
Outdoor: exploring nature, going on walks, going to the park, going to the children friendly establishments, swimming, and any activities they are signed up for (gymnastics, swimming lessons, dance, sports, etc.)

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is having a good relationship with the whole family. Having the kids love you is so incredibly rewarding, but also having good communication with the parents on expectations and responsibilities is so important.
My experience with special needs children...
I was a TA in Jr. High for the SPED class. I also helped a mother with a special needs girl. She was in a wheelchair and needed around the clock care with basic needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Everyday with kids is an adventure, and I have so many amazing memories!! But I’d have to say one of my favorites is when we went to coconut cove play area for the first time, and we went in the toddler play area where there is this spinning “pirate ship” area, and all these bigger kids came in and were spinning it with the little kids inside and all the kids were just laughing and laughing and taking turns, and it was one of the cutest, sweetest things I’ve ever seen.
