Hello! I'm Claire! As the oldest of 5 siblings (in addition to foster siblings), I've been caring for children as far back as I can remember. All through high school I babysat for friends and have served in kids church since I was 13.
I am energetic, responsible, and empathetic to feelings while still maintaining order. I love to get kids involved in activities that are fun and will help them grow in all areas of life. Huge on communication, balancing work and play, and identifying emotions and learning to manage them in a healthy way. I'm big on keeping healthy and active in all areas of life.
I am CPR and First Aid certified. Capable of light housework, meal prep, bedtime, have a reliable car, and valid driver's licence.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I've served in every area of kid's church since I was 13, from assistant to leader and everywhere in between. I've also been babysitting for several of my friends for years.
Aside from that, as a child my mom had cancer, so I stepped up to take her place while she was going through chemo. At 14, we adopted my youngest brother, who has often been left in my care for hours to days over the last 11 years.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Inside: Reading, playing pretend, music, hands-on teaching of household skills like cooking, age-appropriate chores, etc.
Outside: Nature walks, pool, bikes, games, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being a stable, reliable, and inspirational grownup for children to look up to. I believe it's vital to teach kids important skills they can carry into adulthood, as well as teach them to thoroughly enjoy the moment they're in. I love getting to watch the wonder in a child's eyes as they experience things for the first time.
