More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I currently work full-time as a lead one-year-old teacher at a childcare center, where I’m responsible for caring for my class and helping with their daily routines, meals, diaper changes, naps, activities, and developmental needs. I have also worked with children of different ages in childcare settings, from infants through Pre-K. Outside of work, I volunteer with children and youth through my church and have been involved in children’s and youth ministry for several years. These experiences have given me the opportunity to work with lots of different ages, personalities, and needs!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love finding activities based on each child’s age and interests! I especially enjoy arts and crafts, reading, music and dance parties, imaginative play, sensory activities, and spending time outside. I love letting kids be creative and explore while also finding little ways to make everyday activities fun and engaging. I’m always happy to get on the floor and play, be silly, and join in on whatever they’re interested in!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny to me is making sure the children I care for feel safe, loved, and supported. I want to be someone they’re comfortable with, can have fun with, and know they can trust. I think every child deserves to have adults in their life who encourage them, listen to them, and make them feel important. Of course keeping them safe and meeting their needs comes first, but I also want the time we spend together to be something they enjoy and look forward to!

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite things about nannying is getting to watch the kids I care for grow up! A child I nannied years ago is still a big part of my life today. I’ve gotten to watch him grow up, and I even taught him how to drive! He is one of the funniest people I know and has always kept me laughing. I love that what started as a nannying job turned into a relationship that has lasted long after he needed a nanny!
