Hi, I’m Claire! I have been a 4th grade teacher in Orlando for over a year, but am relocating to Jacksonville. I nannied for a family for 3 years when I was in college. When I started, their daughter was a few days old and their son was 4. I was also a summer camp counselor for 5 years and for 2 of those years I was the summer camp director. I enjoy helping children learn and fostering a safe environment that allows children to use their imagination and creativity.

The most important part about being a nanny is being a positive influence in a child’s life. It is so special to get to help and watch a child learn and grow. The nice thing about being a nanny is the child or few children you spend time with get all of your attention. This helps learning tremendously!

My favorite nanny moment was when the baby started counting the stairs as we walked up them. Every time we walked up the stairs whether she was 2 months old or 1 year old, I always counted the steps. The day she started doing it (she was less than 2 years old) I was so proud!
