More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Due to being the oldest child and only sister I have a lifetime of experience caring for children and, coupled with 5 years in the restaurant service industry, a lot of patience. When I was 18, I applied and was accepted into a career preparation program that connected me with a 5 week internship in the Mother-Baby Unit as well as one assisting a Preschool teacher.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

For indoor activities I love doing arts and crafts (I have an obscene amount of craft supplies), the "don't-let-the-balloon-touch-the-ground" game for a non-destructive way to toss a ball around the house, learning spanish together, playing board games and dance-along videos.
I think making time to be outside is very important so I like taking the kids to the park or for a walk, play a game of soccer, do tie dye, draw on the sidewalk with chalk, and do yoga.

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters to me most about being a nanny is providing the child(ren) with a fun, safe, and comfortable environment to grow while under my care. It's also important to me to prove to the parents that I will provide the best care I possibly can for their children and earn their trust to be responsible for their child(ren).

My experience with special needs children...

When I was in school, I was involved in the Gummy Bear program in which we would socialize, make arts & crafts, and attend school events with the students in the special needs classes.
During my internship with the Mother-Baby Unit I spent a lot of time with two of the babies born dealing with drug/alcohol dependency.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Not from when I was a nanny, but from my brothers. My family are big meat-eaters which I personally am not- but I am a good cook. My brothers used to throw fits at the idea of eating something "vegan" but since tricking them into eating a meatless and dairy-free chicken alfredo, they haven't complained since. It made me happy to show them that fruits and veggies can be delicious and to share with them cooking/healthy-eating skills I didn't learn until much later in life.

Babysitter Available in New York, NY: Anna L.

Hi, I'm Anna! I have over 12 years of experience as a babysitter and nanny, and I genuinely love working with children and being a positive part of their day. I also have 7 years of experience as a swim coach, working with kids ages 2–18, which has given me strong skills in child safety, communication, and engaging children of all ages.
If you're welcoming a new pet into your family, I can also offer supervised time with my gentle, child-friendly dog to help children and puppies build positive experiences together. He's incredibly calm, loves kids, and can be a great companion in the right setting.

I look forward to meeting your family and providing a fun, safe, and caring environment for your little ones!

Teagan D. - Seeking Work in New York

Babysitter Available in New York, NY: Teagan D.

Hello, my name is Teagan!

I'm a 22 year old, NYC-based caregiver with hands-on experience caring for children ranging from 6 months to 13 years old — across families in both Nashville, TN and New York City. Whether I'm building a fort, cooking a fun meal, navigating a big feeling, or just being a calm and steady presence, I show up fully for every child in my care.

My background in acting has shaped me into an exceptional listener and communicator. I take pride in making every child feel seen, confident, and comfortable, no matter the situation.

I bring a lot to the table: I'm creative, patient, organized, protective, communicative observant, and proactive — always thinking one step ahead to keep things running smoothly. I'm also a natural problem solver who stays calm under pressure, and I bring genuine enthusiasm to everything from homework help to imaginative play.

I hope to be the kind of caregiver that kids look forward to seeing and parents feel completely at ease trusting!
