A little bit about me

I am a Trained Postpartum Doula. As a doula, my role is to support and care for a family with newborns by teaching baby-related skills and supporting the parents and infants, as well as being an extra pair of hands. Doula work also includes night work where I would work with the parents overnight and help them sleep while I take care of the babies, and simultaneously provide baby-related guidance as desired. I am CPR Certified for infants and adults and have previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant working at a hospital for a year where I floated to many units, including the postpartum unit. My role is non-medical but I do have a medical background. I also volunteered in the NICU as a nursing volunteer at UCLA Ronald Reagan Hospital where I worked with newborn and premature babies. I have experience working with twin infants as I was a live-in nanny for about a year.

The most important part about being a nanny or doula is the impact that nanny or doula has on the family and children for years to come. I love being able to support and touch the lives of so many others as a doula and in the past as a nanny.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment would be when I finished feeding a 2 month old,.He was asleep and started smiling this huge smile. The development of babies is incredible and I can see it even in just a simple, cute smile.
