A little bit about me

Hello! I have recently moved to Utah from Pennsylvania and I will be relocating to the Victor/Driggs area in August, 2020. I’m a 24 year old female nature lover who excels in crafts and imagination. I attended some college with a focus on elementary education. I have worked 5+ years in restaurants which has sharpened my food prep and multitasking skills. I also worked for year and a half with a company that offers community support for adults with autism. I was responsible for assisting my client while in the community, working on social skills, money handling, grocery shopping, how to appropriately handle conflict, how to keep a clean home, how to cook etc. and worked between 40-50 hours a week. I am a very caring person who loves to uplift and I can’t wait to see what kind of fun we can create together :) please message me any questions!

Camp counselor at art camp for 2 summers, a local camp for 1 summer, a children’s health camp for 2 summers.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love hiking, flying kites, painting rocks, playing in the creek, looking for bugs, gardening, looking for flowers, making paper boats, painting, reading, making art etc. I also played soccer, basketball, field hockey, and softball growing up so I can teach those sports at the park.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The relationship formed with the family is very important to me. I understand the responsibility involved with bringing someone into your children’s lives a I want to be a good example for them, demonstrating trust and responsibility while still focusing on making simple tasks fun for everyone.

My experience with special needs children...

I have significant training through the state of Pennsylvania for adults with autism. My client also had cerebral palsy.

The most important part about being a nanny...

With my autistic client, as we became “regulars” at the local libraries and restaurants, getting to watch my client form relationships with employees that worked there was very satisfying.
