A little bit about me

Hey there! I'm Clementine.

Experience- I have 10+ years of child care experience, not including unpaid care giving for my younger siblings. I have worked with children of varying age ranges from 4 weeks to 13+ years. I have cared for different ratios of children as well, 4 infants at a time, 7 toddlers/pre-schoolers at a time, and 20 school agers (5yrs-12yrs), giving me patience, and multi-tasking skills. I have been working mainly as a nanny for 5+ years, but also have several years working as a daycare teacher & a pre-school teacher. I am trained in both infant and children first aid/cpr. I'm certified as a montessori teaching assistant, a certified peer counselor and certified in postive discipline. I have a ton experience with neurodivergent children and disabled children. I have my food handlers as well, and have been preparing meals for all children I've taken care of in the past. I can prepare any food with no problems, as I’ve worked with several children with allergies. :)

The most important part about being a nanny...

The last child I worked with was an incredible pleasure to be around, they were so funny. They were constantly making witty jokes but my most recent favorite interaction was about safety and experimenting. They were climbing on the couch next to a table and I asked them if they were aware of their surroundings and if they were comfortable with what was going on, to which they responded "I'm being safe, I'm safe all the time- well actually I'm not safe *all* the time, that's impossible and boring" and then followed that up with "I climed to the top of a tree with spaghetti noodles in my pocket so I could see what it would be like to crack them up at the top, don't worry, I was very safe and didn't want to jump off the top- well I did want to jump off, but decided not to." Was very funny and all over the place, very wholesome interaction.
