A little bit about me

I was a Nanny for one family, 5yrs. Once all were in school, my services were no longer required. From there I attended college and worked in the medical field obtaining three degrees. During this time I cared for children in my home on a Part time basis. I love children, helping them learn, homework time, outdoors and finding that one thing that has them strive to be their best. In 2010 I stopped working in the medical field and opened a home childcare. I love doing this but am looking for families that choose not to go to a center or a home childcare and needs a part time Nanny , that would be appreciated, wants their child / children to excel, not sit in front of a TV or video games. I love board games as well. Families utilize me for date nights, which I travel to their home or them here. With all that I was a foster mom for 9 years and adopted my two sons, who are now out on their own. One has sever ADHD and my oldest has a form of Autism and ADD.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love Playing Board games and card games with children. I give it a go at Video games, but Pacman is my only skill level. Although I am upgrading to the Wii and the children I care for have me bowling and golf.

My experience with special needs children...

Having been a foster mother and adopting two of my foster children with special needs. I have experience with ADD, ADHD, Attachment Disorders, Speech Delays and Texture issues with Food and Play.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Since I have only been a Nanny one time and the rest of my experience as a Childcare Provider my favorite moments experienced with each is when I see any child I have cared for Out in public and they run up to me all SMILES ! Or when a parent texts me out of the blue with a child talking of what we did, or that they learned something from our time together. Making a positive impact on a child's life to where they remember such fondness is my favorite moments.
