The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where children can thrive. It’s about adapting to each family’s unique needs while providing consistency, reliability, and care. Beyond just supervision, a nanny plays a key role in supporting a child’s development, fostering independence, and building meaningful connections that contribute to their growth and well-being. Privacy, professionalism, and flexibility are also essential in maintaining a smooth household dynamic.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite recent nanny moments was with a little one who used to resist washing her hands after using the bathroom. When I watched her recently, I reminded her to wash her hands, and she looked at me very seriously and said, “I have to wash my hands, or I have to do five push-ups.” Amused, I asked her where that rule came from, and without missing a beat, she said, “My dad.” I couldn’t help but laugh—it was such a funny and creative way to reinforce good hygiene!

I've worked primarily in childcare, from being a camp counselor to co-babysitting a family with 7 kids. Doing anything from simple meals, homework and planning activities. Working with kids from ages 1 years old to high schoolers, and with kids with special needs, mostly down syndrome and autism. Working with kids is a passion of mine, something I love about them is there personalities and how it varies. Its fun to be kids with them again.

Hi moms! I’m looking to pick up a nannying or babysitting position and wanted to post here in case anyone is looking for childcare! I’m 18 and currently a freshman at UNO studying Pre-Medical Imaging. I’ve worked as a lifeguard at a pool in my hometown, so I’m CPR certified, and I also have my CNA. I’m an aunt as well and have plenty of nannying and babysitting experience with children of different ages. I’m especially interested in finding a family who may need regular weekday childcare, but I’m also available for date nights, weekends, or occasional babysitting depending on your needs and our schedules. I have reliable transportation and can provide references! I’m located in the Omaha area but don’t mind driving to surrounding areas. Feel free to message me if you’re interested or would like to chat and see if I’d be a good fit for your family!

Live-In Full-Time Nanny Available in Omaha, NE: Aurora T.
I am actually a registered nurse and worked in the pediatric cardiac ICU for 2 years and worked in the Pediatric setting for 4 years total with a variety of patients and families. Prior to that I worked as a babysitter/ nanny and worked in a childcare facility. I’m pregnant with my fiancé and honestly need somewhere to work as soon as possible so that I can help support my growing family after losing a lot here in Asheville. Personally, I want something other than the hospital setting but still have my passion for taking care of others, especially kiddos, but their families need to be included as well. I have a high respect for boundaries and safety when it comes to taking care of your family and I am happy to accept any communication you believe will make my care better for your family to hopefully make your life better and more efficient.
