More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Overall, I have babysat/ Nannied/ and been a care taker since I was 15 and I am now 34 years old.
I have helped with all ages ranging from 8 weeks to 90 years old. Every family and households expectations were different and I enjoyed every minute of it. I learned a lot and met a lot of great people along the way. I am very confident with my care taking abilities and depending on the age of the individuals I am taking care of, I make sure to structure the day around what they enjoy and most importantly, what will keep their brain sharp. Learning can definitely be fun so I take pride in brainstorming activities that are both educational and enjoyable.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Sports, arts and crafts, board games, nature walks, baking/cooking, hanging out with friends, creative writing, etc. Overall, I like to come up with ideas that the kids will not only enjoy, but will benefit them and make them think and challenge them. I think learning is so important.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important thing about being a nanny is to allow the kids to express themselves. Children have individual interests that they enjoy and want to partake in. Therefore, I think it’s important to encourage the kids to follow their passions and have the opportunity to participate in situations that they enjoy; because that will lead them to their future career.
Discipline and mentorship is extremely important as well. I just personally think that the best way to learn about someone is to give them space to become who they want to be and live the life they want to live without the annoyance of criticism.

My experience with special needs children...
I have plenty of experience with special needs children. Every child that has a difference or special need has different needs throughout their day. I know how to adapt to what the specific child needs based on experience.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have always enjoyed letting the kids pick their favorite activity because it allows them to make a decision on their own, but also teaches them how to think realistically about an activity that is possible at that time. Not only does it teach them how to think logically, those opportunities help kids learn how to think in a mature way and manage their day.
