The most important part about being a nanny...
I would say the most important part about being a nanny to me is the experiences I get to share with the children. Growing up my mother always had my cousins around. We were always doing things as a family. Making those memories. It didn't matter if we were making our own water color art at home or going to the zoo, and as a nanny that's how I view my position. As an extension of the family. So being able to do the fun things, help the kids grow, provide them with new life experiences for me is what it is all about.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I would say my favorite nanny moments are the times I get to take my kids on out and abut activities. Just recently I took the kids I work with-now to the beach and we spent the entire day building sandcastles, turning each other into mermaids, jumping in the waves, boogie boarding, we even went grocery shopping the day before to pick out all the snack and lunch items we would eat and made it into this whole ordeal where everyone got matching plates, cold cups, and silverware. Before we left we all got matching t-shirts and I was able to introduced the children to a new food. They were also able to hunt for the crabs that scurry along the sand at night. Everyone had a matching bucket, shovel, and flashlight. They absolutely loved it.
