Parents have placed an enormous amount of trust in me . Built-in flexibility is often one of the main reasons parents love me & chooses care over other types of care. Of course, the top characteristic of my job is my genuine love of children. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I had work experience working at a company called "Chdfs Inc" where we take care and work with children of all ages with Autism, down syndrome & ADHD. I worked for the company for about 3 yrs before the covid .

I took care of two boys who had autism. Two different ages (10 & 5) Both related brothers. Located in bronx, Ny Apartment.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love being a nanny because every day is different. While we do have routines, I love the flexibility to be able to go out on a new adventure every day. Learning and exploring the world through the eyes of a child are truly the best, and no two days of growing are the same.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Nurturing. The idea of nurturing a child is at the heart of a caregivers role. Being able to connect on a deep level, build a safe, loving relationship and offer a stable environment are all important elements of nurturing your child.

My experience with special needs children...

The most important part about being a nanny...

In my time as a caregiver, I have had many proud and rewarding moments with the children I have cared for. One thing in particular that I am most proud of was when I worked with a 5-year-old non-verbal Autistic child and taught him to say his first word "up". Using Applied Behavioral Analysis I was able to teach him say the /u/ sound and then the /p/ sound. Putting the two sounds together was half the battle, but once he was able to learn the meaning behind that sound, he was able to communicate using a word for the first time in his life.
