Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Music, going to sports/extracurricular activities, scavenger hunts, basketball courts, trail walks, parks, local museums, the beach, exploring tides and sea life, walking, riding bikes, library and library book box exploring, coloring/drawing, arts & crafts, teaching cursive writing!, Duolingo (I've been learning Spanish for 2 years), ASL, anything that helps toddlers with both fine and gross motor skills (you'd be surprised by some of the things already in your kitchen that are excellent for this!) and lots, lots more!

I still keep in touch with most of my "little sisters and brothers", even though some of them are adults now, and I have a special bond with their parents as well.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I brought a 4 year old boy ("P") to a birthday party that took place at the pool in a local neighborhood.
I didn't know any of the Moms, as I was the only nanny there, but everyone was super nice and they all clearly knew and loved my little man and his parents.
While swimming in the pool about an hour later with his friends, my little buddy had a freak out and his head went under! He surfaced and reached out for me at the side of the pool in shock from going under unexpectedly. I leaned in and reached to grab his hand and I fell face first right into the water!!! He was able to laugh at a very quick and scary situation instead of being upset by it. We were laughing about it immediately - and he had the most contagious laughter ever ☺️
My sweet P is now a recent graduate from UNC-CH Chapel Hill, and I am still close with the entire family - Mom, Dad, older sister M, and younger brother D
