Aloha my name is Daisey Kirkhill,I’m 19 years old and currently taking a year off college after my year abroad and looking into local colleges! I grew up in Hawaii but my family relocated to Huntington! I grew up with younger sibling and was lucky enough to have worked with a lovely little boy for the last few years. So you could say I have a big soft spot for kids! I think trusting someone with your baby’s is one of the hardest decisions to make. I truly think my gentleness and swift multitasking skills are some of my best attributes that make me trustworthy! I would love to bring my care and love into you and your child’s life. I took a child psychology class in college which was very informative on motor skills and brain development. On top of that I have immense background in cleaning if that is something that would interest you. I am currently looking into getting my cpr certification. I’m looking for a full time position, I’m willing to commute, and work with a flexible schedule.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I volunteered teaching kindergartners English while I was in Spain ! Which was an amazing experience sharing not only language but culture. Aswell as being a built in babysitter for my aunties and family which got me very familiar with the responsibility that comes from taking care of others !

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I’m a big time surfer and hiking junkie personally ! I love anything outdoors especially when I get to take a little kiddo with me. My favorite thing to do with kids is go to the beach, eat some fresh fruit maybe do some art . We are going into the winter season and with that comes baking recipes, board games , and arts and crafts!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think just being aware of the child’s needs, energy, and emotions. I want them to know I’m here to nurture and listen! Everyone is different and responds differently conversations, change, emotional situations etc. Getting to know the child and learn what methods best correspond with them helps build that healthy relationship you need to be a successful nanny !
