More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Besides nannying, I have experience being a big sister, and helping with younger cousins. These experiences have reinforced my passion for working with children and have given me a broad understanding of their needs.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love engaging children in a variety of activities that spark their creativity and curiosity. Some of my favorites include reading aloud, arts and crafts projects (like painting, drawing, and making collages), outdoor adventures (going to the park, nature walks), and playing educational games.
The most important part about being a nanny...
For me, the most important part about being a nanny is building a strong, trusting relationship with both the children and their parents. It's about creating a safe and nurturing environment where children feel loved, supported, and encouraged to learn and grow. Open communication, reliability, and a genuine passion for childcare are also essential.
My experience with special needs children...
While I don't have extensive experience working with children with special needs, I am eager to learn and adapt to their individual requirements. I am a patient and understanding individual, and I am committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for all children. I am open to taking courses or training to further develop my skills in this area.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a nanny was when a child I was taking care of was struggling to learn to hit a baseball with his older brother. After several attempts, they finally did it! The look of pure joy and accomplishment on their face was so rewarding, and it made me realize how much of a positive impact I can have on a child's life.

Babysitter Available in Burlington, VT: Emmy D.
Hi! I’m Emmy and I am a student studying psychology and English at UVM with a strong interest in working with children! I’m patient, reliable, and love creating a positive, supportive environment, whether that’s helping with homework, reading together, doing crafts, or just keeping kids engaged and having fun. I’m especially interested in child development, so I really value being attentive and understanding each child’s individual needs and adapting to them.
I also love cats and dogs, so I would be very happy to help in a pet-having household!
