More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
During my elementary and high school years, a common time I cared for children was when I looked after my younger siblings while my mom was at work.
My responsibilities:
•assisting with homework
• cleaning the house
•cooking meals
• engaging in playtime
• I'd do one-on-one talks with them, asking about their day at school and offering support.
• I enjoyed baking cakes and cooking with my younger brother
• I would happily play whatever games my youngest sister wanted.
Another experience I've had with kids is as a teacher's assistant. I often volunteered to join my siblings classes at school, either to spend time with them or because my mother felt more comfortable with me accompanying them on school field trips. In these roles, I often found myself helping other students in the class or assisting the teacher with lessons.
In high school I was a PLUS student (PEER LEADERS UNDERSTANDING STUDENTS) as a role in that program I would go to classes of lower grades and read to them.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Activities I enjoy doing with them:
-Reading
- educating them about my knowledge in animals or simply hearing them talk about their own passions
- watching movies
- fun hobbies energetic activities such as sports like (volleyball, football, dodge ball, kick ball, swimming, board games, going on walks)
- I personally absolutely LOVE cooking, I often find myself looking up videos of new recipes to improve my cooking skills this is a hobby I often did with my siblings and would be open to share with someone else.
- depending on the age and their interests I can come up with MANY activities to keep it engaging fun and simply enjoyable.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the top most important aspect of being a nanny is to make the kids feel comfortable around you especially if you’re a stranger to them. Don’t force trust it’ll come naturally. Don’t force connection as it’ll push you away from them. Don’t over do it with what YOU think is right BUT hear them out have authority BUT be a listener and act unbiasedly unless it is not in the best interest of the parent/guardian.
Being a babysitter/nanny in my humble opinion requires you to be another parent figure, a caretaker, a trusted adult, a protector for me being a trusted care taker to an unknown child is a privilege I will do anything and everything to protect that child if the situation were to scream emergency. I simply want that child to be in a safe and secure environment while the parent or guardian are occupied doing their errands or genuinely need some time for themselves.

A memorable experience I had with my then 6 yr old brother (I was 11) is when we were playing in my backyard, I had found a praying mantis decent size I grabbed it and ran to show my brother he was of course petrified I promised it wouldn’t bite or do anything…. It flew on his face till this day I remember his face and it brings a pain to my stomach from laughter.
Another memorable experience is with my youngest sister (I have insomnia my sleep schedule is out the window I’m trying to improve) during a weekend on my sisters day of from school we decided to play a scary game on Roblox it was late and we were forbidden to make that much noise due to repetitive jump scares our efforts were in vain we decided to use tape to keep quiet it worked… till it worked too well as a fight or flight reflex my sister yeeted her phone across my head which caused my soul to leave my body I wasn’t sure how to react I was too stunned to decide how to panic I was laughing and hugging my head.
