More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My journey in childcare started in high school, where I interned at an on-site preschool, working with children ages 1–2. After graduating, I worked at a preschool for 2.5 years, caring for both infants and 3-year-olds. I then moved on to a position at my current school, where I work with children ranging from infants to kindergarten age.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I absolutely love creating fun, hands-on activities for children that allow them to explore, learn, and grow through play. I'm especially drawn to sensory-rich experiences whether it's messy play with paint, shaving foam, or slime; water play with scoops and pouring tools; or mud play in the garden where we can dig, squish, and discover. I find that these types of activities not only spark joy and creativity but also support children's cognitive and fine motor development.
Whenever the weather allows, I make the most of outdoor play. I enjoy taking children to the park, organizing nature walks, or setting up imaginative play outside.
My goal is always to create activities that are both fun and educational—encouraging self-help skills, independence, and confidence along the way.

My experience with special needs children...
While I’ve worked with children with special needs before, I have limited experience in that area—but I’m always open to learning and adapting to meet each child’s unique needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of the most rewarding parts of my work as a nanny is watching children achieve milestones on their own—especially when it’s something we’ve been working on together for a while. I believe in nurturing independence and confidence by providing consistent guidance, patience, and support. My approach encourages children to think critically, explore safely, and solve problems creatively. Seeing them succeed without immediate backup support is a true highlight and a reflection of the trust and growth we’ve built together.

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in El Paso, TX: Shelly S.
I have tons of experience working with young children in preschool, daycare, and babysitting settings. I have always been good with kids and animals. I have a 2 year old rescue dog named Mayze that I got when she was just 9 months. I spend most of my free time at the gym or outside. I am very much family oriented. I am originally from NE, however I moved to WY after graduating high school, and shortly after that I moved to SD for college, where I received a degree in dental assisting. Between working with children and in the health industry, I have taken many cpr, firstaid, and emergency training programs.
