Hello! I'm Danica, a 16 year old high-school student that's trying to earn some extra money to help with bills and things.

At first my age might sound scary, but I've been consistently cooking, cleaning, and caring for my siblings basically since they were born. I also frequently babysit my boyfriend's 3 and 9 year old sisters. I have experience with autistic kids ranging from high-functioning to mostly non-verbal. A few weeks per year I volunteer at my local elementary school for kindergarten.
I've always loved kids, and I figured what better job is there to get than one I enjoy? I'm willing to be a one-time sitter but I'd also be happy to stick around and consistently sit for your family whenever I'm free which will be most of the time.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I frequently volunteer for kindergarten classes at Mill Creek Elementary and have lots of experience caring for my own siblings, sometimes for weeks at a time on my own. I also babysit my boyfriend's sisters (3 and 9) whenever needed, with or without him there.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I've played dolls, Marco Pollo, hide and seek, tag, pretend kitchen, talent shows, any kid game you can think of. I've painted, drawn, crafted, done kids hair, face paint, etc.
I'm perfectly fine with dogs, cats, and other pets. I've cared for most animals at some point in my life.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Genuine love for kids. You can do everything right by the book and still leave the kids feeling neglected if you don't actually love what you're doing.

My experience with special needs children...

I've cared for a few autistic children ranging from high-functioning to nonverbal. I've also had one on one experience caring for kids with down syndrome in my time volunteering for Mill Creek Elementary.

The most important part about being a nanny...

It's got to be when my boyfriend's sisters came up to me with a basket full of hair and makeup products with the biggest smiles on their faces.
An hour later, I ended up with the most ridiculous triple-ponytail half-up hairdo and bright blue eyeshadow but their pure joy with themselves was worth every hair I lost getting those hair ties out.
